COLDWATER STEAMPUNK FESTIVAL 2018

August 12, 2018

From August 10 to 12, 2018, thousands of people landed in the village of Coldwater to take part in the 8th annual Coldwater Steampunk Festival.  Steampunk enthusiasts walked the streets dressed for the occasion in Victorian era costumes, mostly on the "Oceanic" theme, inspired by Jules Verne's 19th Century classic 20,000 Leagues under the sea.  Taking place over the three day period were a classic car show, artists and artisans demonstrations, live music, magic shows, and steam power engines demonstrations.  This year's main event day contests included arts, costume, and photography competitions.  And of course, the traditional Scavenger Hunt for kids and teens.  In addition to hosting thirsty and hungry visitors who came through the Legion during the event, some of our members took part as street vendors, or dressed-up participants.
