It was another banner day (literally!) on March 17 at the Coldwater Branch where dozens of patrons and supporters braved the cold to come and parade and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day in a proper Irish-for-the-day environment. ZONE E4 SPRING 2026 CONVENTION – WAUBAUSHENE
Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Zone E4 Spring 2026 Convention was held at Branch 316 Beaverbrook in Waubaushene on March 14, 2026. ANOTHER "CENTENARY" OPEN HOUSE AT THE LEGION

YOUTH PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION
For the first time since 2020 the Coldwater Branch hosted a Youth Public Speaking competition on February 1, 2026. We had four students from the Grade 4-5 category, and their speeches were amazing. LADIES' AUXILIARY CHRISTMAS BAZAAR 2025
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater Ladies' Auxiliary held its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday November 22, 2025, in the upstairs hall at the Legion. Vendors' tables were sold out for the event, as participants offered a wide variety of products and services ranging from wood crafts and jewelry to knitted works and candles, even books. REMEMBRANCE DAY 2025
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater held its annual Remembrance Day service on Tuesday, November 11. It was nice to see the crowd that showed up, even under uncertain weather forecast, to pay respects to our Fallen, with members of the community laying wreaths in memory of loved ones. COLDWATER VETERANS APPRECIATION LUNCH 2025
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater held its annual Veterans Appreciation Lunch on Saturday November 1. The event was attended by more than 80 people including Legion members, supporters, dignitaries, and 26 Veterans. DISTRICT 'E' FALL 2025 CONVENTION
The Legion's Ontario Command District 'E' Fall 2025 Convention was held at Branch 345 Richmond Hill on October 3-5, 2025. Branch 270 Coldwater was well represented by Branch President Kari Malmström and 1st Vice-President John O'Hara, who presented donations from our Poppy Fund worth $8,000 to various Veterans support groups during the convention.
