HAPPY NEW YEAR! The year 2016 has been highlighted by significant accomplishments as well as many challenges for members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater. We thank all of you who supported us, especially those who have worked hard to make sure that the organization continues to meet its goals and plays its role in the community. For many years the members of the Branch have served military veterans and the community at large, and it is our intention to ensure this commitment continues. As weather gets colder and Holidays jingles make their seasonal return to the air waves, it is hard around here to escape the traditions that are brought back to life every year with the Christmas season. Before the first snow falls, plans are already in motion for the brightly lit outdoor display, the turkey dinner with all the trimmings, the plum pudding or log cake, and of course, the decorated Christmas tree with its wrapped presents at its foot. These are all well-known traditions, even for those who do not subscribe to them.
