DISTRICT ‘E’ SPRING 2024 CONVENTION

The District ‘E’ Spring 2024 Convention was held at Branch 161 Bracebridge from April 5 to April 7.  Branch 270 Coldwater was once again well represented by our Branch President Anne Frankish, 1st Vice-President Norm Marion, 2nd Vice-President Kari Malmström, Sergeant-at-Arms Debbie Southorn, Honours & Awards Chair John O'Hara, and Betty-Jean Murray who took part as District 'E' Secretary.  Several donations totalling $5,000 were made on behalf of the branch to various approved Legion programs.  By the end of the convention, a total of $190,585 was donated by the branches represented at the convention. Branch President Anne Frankish was proud to accept the District 'E' Poppy Chair of the Year award on behalf of Branch 270 Poppy Chair, Gaëtanne Robinson, who couldn't attend.

 


Branch 270 representatives were pleased to take home the trophy for the District 'E' Poppy Chair of the Year award, won by Branch Poppy Chair, Gaëtanne Robinson, who couldn't be present.  Left-to-right: Branch President Anne Frankish; Sergeant-at-Arms Debbie Southorn; and Honours & Awards Chair John O'Hara.

Most branches from Ontario Command District ‘E’ were represented at the District 'E' Spring 2024 Convention held at Branch 161 Bracebridge.

 



Coldwater Branch Past President Comrade Betty-Jean Murray took part in the convention as District 'E' Secretary.

 



On behalf of Branch 270 Coldwater, Branch Sergeant-at-Arms Debbie Southorn (right) presents cheques worth $500 in support of the Legion's Youth Education programs – Public Speaking and Poster & Literary - during the District 'E' Spring Convention.

 



On behalf of Branch 270 Coldwater, Branch Honours & Awards Chair John O'Hara presents a cheque for $1,000 in support of the Legion's Charitable Foundation program.  During the convention John also presented another cheque for $1,000 in support of the Mending on the Fly Veterans initiative.

 



The District ‘E’ Spring 2024 Convention was well attended at Branch 161 Bracebridge.
