ZONE E4 SPRING 2026 CONVENTION – WAUBAUSHENE

Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Zone E4 Spring 2026 Convention was held at Branch 316 Beaverbrook in Waubaushene on March 14, 2026. As usual Branch 270 Coldwater was well represented having five members on the Zone Council, including Comrades Bob Gourlie (Zone Sports Officer), John O'Hara (Zone Youth Education), Norm Marion (Zone PRO), Linda Tucker (Zone Ways & Means), and, of course, our Branch President, Comrade Kari Malmström. Branch Past President Comrade Betty-Jean Murray was also in attendance. The convention was well attended by branch representatives from within the zone. District Commander Betty Smith was in attendance and presided to the installation of the new Deputy Zone Commander for Zone E4, Comrade Graham Simmonds. Reports were presented by Zone Commander Comrade Dave Sampson, and by Zone Officers and branch representatives. Well done all!

Zone Youth Education Officer Comrade John O'Hara (left) provided a detailed report on the financial situation and status of Youth Education activities within Zone E4.

Following Zone Council meeting, the Zone Spring Convention was well attended with several members of the recently reopened Port McNicoll Branch taking part in the discussions.

Past Zone and District Commander Comrade Bob Ladouceur – currently President at Branch 523 Sunset Post in Victoria Harbour – was on hand to contribute explanations on issues raised by some of the branch representatives.
