The Branch has received applications from 110 new Centenary members to date. Many thanks to the Membership Committee for their assistance processing these applications and helping update the member files for current members. The Executive and Membership welcomed our latest group of 30 Centenary members at a ceremony held during our Open House on Sunday May 31. It's great to have so much interest in Legion membership. We look forward to seeing you in the Branch and helping at events. Welcome aboard comrades!
The story of the Royal Canadian Legion finds its origins in the First World War when Canadian soldiers returning back home from the battlefields of France and Belgium formed an association to support their returning comrades in arms. One hundred years after its birth, the Royal Canadian Legion is open to all Veterans, their relatives and supporters. Its main aims remain supporting Veterans, and promoting Remembrance.
